There is a standard contribution towards the costs of packaging and delivery on all deliveries. This is regardless of the size of the order as Brilliant Fireworks will pay the excess on every order. For every order that is placed we subsidise the packing and delivery costs. You may think that our delivery charges are high so we would like to explain the cost breakdown of packing and delivering fireworks to you:
Courier charge for 1st 10 Kilos = £20 - This is the minimum initial charge to us from the specialist courier company!
Each addtional kilo = £0.35
Delivery to private / residential address = £5.00- We do not charge this to you
Special UN Firework Cartons = £3.50 each - This is an approximate cost as box sizes vary, and remember you may have more than one box!
Packaging materials and special labels = £1.00 this covers the costs of the special labels we have to use and all the other packing materials.
Staff time packing your order = Labour costs in the UK...you tell me!
So as an example. If you were to order say £100 worth of various fireworks for delivery to a residential address, this would weigh approximately 20 - 25 kilos and probably be packed in 2 boxes. The costs would actually be about £39.25 but we only charge you a £15.00 for delivery (unless you need it urgently). I'm sure you will understand after reading this that we are more than fair with our delivery charges.
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 5.00pm and require a signature (over 18 years of age). Unfortunately couriers do not call you in advance, and cannot give delivery times on an all day service
IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING DELIVERY OF SOME ITEMS:
New regulations have come into effect concerning the classification of certain large fireworks which governs the transport and storage of the fireworks.
Regulation have been enforced for 2009 that stipulates:
• No rocket can contain more than 20g of powder inclusive of the rocket motor, if the product is to remain a 1.4G explosive item.
• Some fireworks, in particular large rockets, have had their hazard classification changed from 1.4G to 1.3G which will make them
difficult for us to ship, without additional "very prohibitive" safety packing costs.(We have to wrap the rockets in a metal mesh cage to
transport them!!)
We are as disappointed with these restrictions as you, but I am afraid this is due to government legislation and we shall endeavour to providing you with the highest customer satisfaction possible
Where our packs contain items that are affected by the new legislation we will substitute the item for an appropriate more expensive replacement.

COLLECT FROM BRILLIANT RETAIL STORE. You can collect your order FREE OF CHARGE**
IN ALL CASES we will need 2 working days (prior to collection) so we can send your online order from our dispatch centre to our retail store.
** However during our peak period between 26/10/2010 - 15/11/2010 and between 15/12/2010 - 05/01/2011 there will be a handling chargeof £15 for ALL ONLINE orders collected from the retail store this is due to legal storage issues at the retail store and it's a real pain as the retail store is very very busy.

*Deliveries to Northern Ireland, Isle Of Man, Isle Of Wight, Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands (postcode areas KW, IV, PH and PA) and Scilly Isles.
All orders should be placed a minimum of 12 days prior to the date of your display to guarantee delivery.
